As of Spring 2000 - I no longer manage the league. Contact me via email for current status.
The Tuesday Evening Air Pistol League is hosted at the Wolf Creek Olympic Shooting Complex, site of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Shooting events and part of the Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds, a Fulton County (Georgia) public park. I am the league manager - which means I "get" to do the fun stuff like post scores and figure handicaps! Shooters of all ages and skill levels are welcome. This is a handicap league so everyone has an even chance to help their team win. Yes, brand new shooters with no experience are welcome and encouraged to give it a go! They often are the strongest members of the team because they improve and exceed their previous average. We will help you learn how to shoot and even loan you an air pistol. The weekly program is a 10 minute preparation period followed by a 1 hour and 15 minute match during which competitors fire an unlimited number of sighting shots and then fire 40 shots for record. Competitors are organized into teams and rankings are kept each week which build toward a season championship score. The top three teams are awarded cash prizes at the end of the season. At the end of each week's match, score tapes are checked for center shots (or closest to center!) and those who have the closest shots participate in a one shot shoot-off for the separate weekly center shot cash prize. Please send me an email for more information and include your phone number(s) if possible. We are considering adding rifle to the program, subject to interest level. Schedules Preparation period begins at 6:50pm; first shot is at 7:00pm. You may join in mid-season.
