The Lender Liability Home Page is presented by Gerald L. Blanchard, Partner in the law firm of Powell Goldstein, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. (All material presented here is the sole view and opinion of the author and does not represent the views or position of Powell Goldstein, LLP). He has worked in the areas of lender liability, problem loan workouts, bankruptcy and loan documentation since 1980. He is the author of a three volume treatise entitled Lender Liability, Law, Practice and Prevention, published by the West Group; co-author of a two volume treatise entitled Problem Loan Workouts and General Editor of a four volume set entitled Georgia Forms, Legal and Business also published by the West Group. Prior to joining Powell Goldstein in 2005 he worked as in-house counsel for Bank of America (and its predecessors, NationsBank and C&S National Bank) for 24 years.  Prior that he worked as a law clerk to the Honorable William L. Norton, Jr., in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Atlanta.
